Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Sound Therapy Practitioner Course accredited and will I be able to gain insurance on completion?

Yes, the Sound Therapy Practitioner Course is accredited by the Complementary Medical Association (CMA). It was previously accredited by IPHM, and similar to choosing car insurance, you might find that different insurers offer varying options over time.

Upon successful completion of the course and your case studies, you will receive your Sound Therapy Practitioner Certificate. This certification qualifies you to seek insurance for this modality. Because the course is accredited by CMA, it is recognised by reputable insurance companies such as Balens and Westminster. Typically, Sound Therapy/Sound Healing courses fall under the category of ‘Sound Healing’ for insurance purposes.

Can I use my qualification for both group work and 1:1 treatments?

Yes, absolutely. The Sound Therapy Practitioner training equips you to conduct both group sessions and one-on-one treatments. You’ll be fully prepared to offer sound therapy in various settings.

Do I need to purchase any instruments before the training?

You do not need to buy any instruments prior to the training. During the course, you'll be introduced to a wide range of instruments, which will help you make more informed decisions about what to purchase.

The Academy offers an extensive selection of instruments from UK suppliers, allowing you to explore and determine which ones best suit your needs. If you already own any instruments, bringing them along can be beneficial. This way, you can see how they fit into your practice and how they might complement any future purchases.

Is there accommodation nearby for training?
